2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 cup castor sugar

1 cup powdered brown sugar

200 gram softened butter

150 gram rolled oats

200 gram strawberry jam

100 gram chocolate chips

25 gram flaked almonds


Sift flour and baking powder in a large bowl. Add both the sugars and mix well. Add the butter. And make it into a crumble. Stir in the oats. Spoon out 3/4 of the mixture into the prepared pan, bake for 10 minutes. Once done, let it cool and spread the jam over the base. Sprinkle the chocolate chips evenly. Then add the almonds in the remaining mixture. Spread this as a topping. Return to the oven and bake for another 25-30 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool and then cut into slices.
