100 gram brown sugar

1 cup milk

1/2 cup cocoa powder

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

200 grams butter

1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla essence

3 egg yolks


Combine half cup of milk and cocoa powder in a pan, on a high flame. Bring to boil and then set aside. Sift the four, add the baking powder and soda. Cream together butter, sugar and vanilla essence until creamy. Add egg yolks one at a time and beat until fluffy. Add the flour and with the milk gently fold in the mixture. Then add the warm cocoa milk. Mix in well. Then pour mixture in two 8 inch round cake tins. Bake at 375 degrees for about 25 to 30 minutes. When cool, finish off with cream cheese frosting.

Cream Cheese Frosting:

100 gram butter
200 gram cream cheese
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
3 cups icing sugar
Beat  the  butter  until  it is fluffy. Mix  in the  cream  cheese  and  beat  well.  Then add 1 cup of  sugar at a time along with the vanilla. beat until required consistency is achieved.
