200g Marie biscuits

100g butter

2 large eggs

150g castor sugar

One and a half to two tablespoons of cocoa (according to how rich you want the taste to be)

Chopped nuts (optional)

Crush the biscuits to a fine powder, and set aside. Take a medium sized pan, place on a medium flame. Add butter and cocoa to it. Stir frequently to homogenize them both. When the butter has melted, take off the flame. Add the sugar, and then the eggs one at a time, stirring all the while. Once properly mixed, return to flame. Cook for about 5-10 minutes or until thick. Take off the flame, and allow to cool for 5 minutes. Then add the biscuit powder, mix well. You can put in the nuts if you like. Then put this mixture in a cake tin with a loose base or place in cling film and wrap in a form of a roll. Put it into the freezer for an hour or two until set. Can be served with cream or vanilla ice cream. Serves 6-8 people.
